This little lamb was too cute to pass without snapping a quick photo. I absolutely love the brome stem hanging out of the corner of its mouth.
This lamb was super funny - it kept tilting its head to the side as if sizing everyone up. As its head tipped, its ears would flop a bit and accentuate each movement.
A friend's daughter and her friend gave us a delightful bunny demonstration. She showed us how she brushes its coat to get it ready for show. The little bunny was really tame and sat so still it must have really enjoyed the attention.
This is the kind of photo surprise you find when looking through the photos later. You never know what might happen when you hand your camera to your husband for safeguarding while taking cleanliness seriously and washing your hands after petting all the animals (like you're supposed to do!).
I'm not sure which was funnier - Jamie trying to snap an "action" photo of his wife nearly falling over because she's not quite coordinated enough to stand on one foot and pump the water pedal with the other while rubbing her hands together in the water OR Jamie laughing so hard while trying to take the photo that he had some issues with holding still long enough for the photo to actually turn out! At least I can walk and chew gum at the same time!
Our parting view of the fairgrounds was this creative flower holder. When I asked if we could do something like that and moved to get a closer look so I could figure out how they stood the jeans up like that, Jamie said I should look and not touch, so you'll be happy to know I left it alone. Anyone out there know how to do this? I'd like to find out!
So if you're looking forward to the return of warm weather just as much as I am, plan ahead for a little adventure and a lot of fun. The Boone County Fair is only seven months away! Mark your calendars for July 14-17, 2011.
Alexander says the flowerpot in the pants is "so funny." He really liked it.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how they did it either.
